3 Safe Methods For Brighter, Whiter Teeth!

Method #1

What you will need:

  • Activated Charcoal
  • Toothbrush

  • Break one of the Activated Charcoal capsules in half
  • Apply to teeth
  • Brush

Activated Charcoal is black and it will look gross when you have it all over your teeth, but no, it will not stain. It will even freshen your breath! This is an active ingredient in all teeth whitening strips. So instead of wasting money on those, you can get a small bottle of these capsules, apply weekly or daily on your teeth, and the best part of all – it’s completely natural!

Activated Charcoal can be found at your local Walmart, Walgreens, Amazon, or Vitacost, (link on the right). You can also use any brand of Activated Charcoal.

Method #2

  3. In the rinsed cup, mix 1 tsp of baking soda, half tsp of water, and a little bit of toothpaste until you create the consistency of a paste
  4. Brush teeth with mixture

Method #3

What you will need:

  • Coconut Oil

  1. Take a tbsp of coconut oil
  2. Soften if first, if you with, or just put it directly on your teeth
  3. Leave on for 5-10 minutes, then spit it out
  4. Brush teeth afterwards

Oil Pulling

Another great use for coconut oil and your teeth is oil pulling – an old Indian folk remedy. To “pull the oil,” swish a tbsp of coconut oil in your mouth for 15-20 minutes. This achieves getting rid of all bacteria and plaque in your teeth. They getstuck to the oil and dissolve!

What Is Enamel?

Did you know that enamel is the strongest substance in the entire human body? Enamel is considered to be a guard – it guards your teeth from acids, chemicals, and extreme temperatures. If you’re reacting strongly to these, the enamel shell is more than likely wearing down and your tooth is probably starting to decay.

What Causes Enamel Erosion?

  • Too many sweet & sugary foods
  • Acid Reflex
  • Heartburn
  • Binge alcohol drinking
  • Acid supplements
  • Brushing too often and too hard
  • Too much saliva
  • Bulimia

All About Crowns

If your enamel is too far gone, you might want to think about getting a crown. Since the enamel works like a guard, the last thing you would want is for the guard to be torn down and have a painful toothache from the decay. Getting a crown put in on your tooth will prevent any further decaying. Talk to your dentist about getting a crown put it.
